Tucson Festival of Books March 10 and 11, 2012.

Night sky in the Sonoran Desert, south of Tucson, Arizona.

Everybody:  If you can, get to Tucson, Arizona, on March 10 and 11 for the Tucson Festival of Books.  It's a great event with lots of authors participating. There is also food, exhibitors, a movie screening on Saturday night (the 1963 classic HUD staring Paul Newman), cool science stuff, and warm, sunny, southern Arizona weather.

While there is a lot going on, the Festival is all about books, reading, and literacy.   I'll be there and tweeting when I can, so check the 'Follow on Twitter' link in the side bar to get the latest up-dates.

  2. PMD, I think it is going to be a blast. The festival will also have special sections for childrens books, demonstration from cookbook authors, giant puzzles to be completed by those in attendance, and more. C-Span will be there, so perhaps you can catch some of the festival on t.v.

  3. And the reason "Hud" is being shown is because the great Larry McMurtry is this year's honored author and Hud is based on his first--of 30--novels, "Horseman,Pass By" of 1961.
